Pushing Pace is a place to voice ideas and opinions of the pace and performance analysis of the world’s best rally drivers taking part in the FIA World Rally Championship. Whilst it is true the championship standings table doesn’t lie it doesn’t always tell the whole story. Pushing Pace helps to decipher the strengths and weaknesses of each driver, co-driver, team, car and manufacturer as they take on the ultimate driving test.
Pushing Pace presents it’s ideas with clear data visualisations. As in many areas of motorsport, there is a deep appreciation amongst rally fans for the facts and figures. Rallying is racing against the clock where seconds over a few kilometers can define the outcome of a whole championship season. There is a lack of an online hub that can interpret the vast array of data available, Pushing Pace is here for that.

Hi, I’m WRC Stan from Cheshire, UK. I attended my first World Rally when I was about 9. I was instantly a fan of the likes of Juha Kankkunen, Didier Auriol and Malcolm Wilson. The Brits Colin McRae and Richard Burns became my heroes and I chased them round the testing stages of Wales. In recent years I have been able to attend rallies in Portugal, Spain, Italy and Finland.
